Pokemon Abyss Eye (M5) Japanese Booster Pack

Preorder a single Abyss Eye booster pack and rip into one of the most anticipated Pokémon TCG sets of 2026, without committing to a full booster box.

What's in an Abyss Eye Booster Pack

Each factory-sealed Japanese booster pack contains 5 cards from the Abyss Eye (M5) set. The full set includes 81 main cards plus an extensive lineup of Secret Rares (SAR and UR), meaning every pack carries real chase potential.

The Mega Darkrai ex Chase

Officially revealed as the flagship of Abyss Eye, Mega Darkrai ex was introduced in December's Mega Dimension DLC. Its Pokedex entry reads: "Its dark power blocks out the sun, plunging the surrounding area into darkness. There is no escaping its evil eye."

The signature attack, also called Abyss Eye, instantly knocks out the opponent's Active Pokémon if it's affected by any Special Condition. Supporting chase cards include Chi-Yu, the Dark Bell trainer card, and a Darkness-themed lineup built around aggressive Mega Evolution control.

Where Abyss Eye Fits in the Mega Evolution Era

Abyss Eye is part of the Mega Evolution series and the first Japanese set to introduce the newer Mega Evolutions from the Mega Dimension DLC. Its English equivalent — Pitch Black — releases July 17, 2026. Japanese print runs first and historically holds stronger long-term collector value.

Frequently Asked Questions

When does the Pokemon Abyss Eye booster pack release?

The Abyss Eye set releases in Japan on May 22, 2026. Preorders placed at High Value Hobby ship on or shortly after May 25, 2026, once our allocation arrives from Japan.

How many cards are in an Abyss Eye booster pack?

Each Abyss Eye booster pack contains 5 factory-sealed Japanese cards from the M5 set. The full set has 81 main cards plus an extensive lineup of Secret Rares including SAR and UR variants.

What is the chase card in the Abyss Eye set?

The flagship is Mega Darkrai ex, introduced in December's Mega Dimension DLC. Its Special Art Rare is the most-anticipated chase card of the set, alongside Chi-Yu, the Dark Bell trainer card, and other Darkness-type Mega Evolutions.

Should I buy a single pack or a full booster box?

A single pack is great for trying your luck or gifting. A full Abyss Eye booster box contains 30 sealed packs and gives you significantly better odds at pulling Mega Darkrai ex or completing the set. Most collectors and investors choose the full box.

What is the English equivalent of Abyss Eye?

Abyss Eye's international equivalent is the Pitch Black expansion, releasing July 17, 2026. The Japanese version prints first and has historically held stronger long-term value among collectors and investors.

Will I be charged more if the price increases before release?

No. Once your preorder is placed, your price is locked in — even if the market price climbs before May 22, 2026. All preorder sales are final.
