Pokémon 30th Celebration is a special anniversary set created to honour three decades of Pokémon TCG history. The Japanese 30th Celebration Booster Box brings together new artwork, classic cards, special anniversary treatments, and 30 unique Pikachu cards in a set built for collectors.

Every card in 30th Celebration features a foil treatment, giving each pack a distinctly premium feel. Each booster pack also contains one of 30 special Pikachu cards, with each version illustrated by a different artist.

Collectors can also chase the new Futuristic Rare cards featuring Mew ex and Mewtwo ex, along with Illustration Rares, Secret Rares, and a 30-card Classic Collection celebrating memorable cards from throughout Pokémon TCG history.

30 Different Pikachu Cards to Collect

Pikachu takes centre stage for Pokémon’s 30th anniversary.

The set features 30 different Pikachu cards created by 30 artists, giving collectors an entire Pikachu subset to chase. The cards feature a special anniversary presentation and help tell the story of Pokémon through different artistic styles.

The collection even begins with a Pikachu illustrated by original Pokémon artist Ken Sugimori, revisiting his classic Jungle-era Pikachu artwork.

Introducing Futuristic Rare

30th Celebration introduces a new Japanese Pokémon card rarity known as Futuristic Rare, or FUR.

Mew ex and Mewtwo ex headline the new rarity with distinctive artwork created by Japanese artist YOSHIROTTEN. These anniversary cards give collectors two major chase cards unique to this milestone release.

30 Years of Pokémon TCG History

30th Celebration also looks back at the cards that helped define the Pokémon Trading Card Game.

The set includes a special 30-card Classic Collection featuring cards selected from across the game’s 30-year history. These cards receive special anniversary treatments and sit alongside modern Pokémon ex cards, Illustration Rares, Secret Rares, and the new Futuristic Rares.

The complete Japanese release contains 176 cards across the main set, secret rares, Classic Collection, and Basic Energy cards.
